Braner Slitting Line

Braner slitting lines have established a remarkable reputation in the global metal processing industry. With a rich history of designing, constructing, commissioning, and providing technical support for approximately 700 ferrous and non  ferrous slitting lines across 25 countries, Braner has become a symbol of reliability and innovation.

These slitting lines are engineered with a high  degree of customization to meet the diverse specifications and production requirements of customers. This means that each line Braner produces is unique, tailored to handle specific materials, coil weights, and widths. For instance, their slitting lines have processed coils ranging from extremely thin 0.003(0.08 mm) gauge 0  temper aluminum to relatively thick 0.750(19 mm) gauge high  strength coil. Coil weights can reach up to 45  tons, and widths can span up to 120(3048 mm).

The construction of Braner slitting lines emphasizes heavy  duty and technologically advanced features. They are designed to be highly productive, capable of operating continuously for long hours without significant degradation in performance. The precision of these lines is outstanding, ensuring that the slitting process results in high  quality products. Whether it's slitting steel, aluminum, copper, or other metals, Braner slitting lines can maintain tight tolerances, which is crucial for downstream manufacturing processes.

In terms of the slitting process, Braner lines typically consist of an uncoiler, a slitter, and a recoiler. The uncoiler carefully unwinds the master coil, feeding the material into the slitter section. Here, circular cutting wheels, one on top and one underneath, work in tandem to make precise longitudinal cuts in the coil, creating multiple narrower strips or multsas per the pre  determined widths. Rubber stripper rings are often used, especially for materials where a clean, burr  free edge is essential, to ensure that the slit edges do not cause any issues in subsequent operations. After slitting, the recoiler winds up the slit mults onto new coils.

The technological advancements in Braner slitting lines also include features like state  of  the  art control systems. These systems allow for real  time monitoring and adjustment of various parameters such as cutting speed, tension, and the position of the cutting blades. This not only enhances the accuracy of the slitting process but also enables operators to quickly adapt to different materials and production requirements. Moreover, Braner slitting lines are known for their reliability, with minimal downtime. This is achieved through robust component design, high  quality manufacturing, and thorough testing before the lines are delivered to customers.
